Colleen Houck's Tiger Curse series was picked up by Ineffable Pictures in October after it's New York Times Bestselling re-release by Splinter Publishing. It was just announced this past week that the showrunner for "Vampire Diaries" will adapt the novel. This series is a bit of a sore spot in some of my YA circles because of the writing chiefly. (Kelsey's literary sophistication and internal voice throughout the book is counter to a more realistic view of current day teenage maturity or lack-there-of some say.) I was compelled by the scope and mythology of the story, as well as it's secondary characters. I have enjoyed reading the first three books in this series and can't wait for the next installment. I have high hopes for the adaptation especially if the story turns out to be the star.
